K2 RailConnector SingleRail 36/50 set (2001976) - connettore di prolunga per guide fotovoltaiche in alluminio

Extending K2 SingleRail mounting rails on a photovoltaic installation often requires a reliable, corrosion-resistant connection that maintains structural integrity over decades. The K2 RailConnector SingleRail 36/50 Set (part number 2001976) solves this by providing a secure internal splice for two SingleRail profiles, ensuring a continuous, stable rail run without compromising the system's load-bearing capacity.

Who is it for

This connector set is intended for solar installers and PV system integrators working with the K2 SingleRail mounting system. It is suitable for both residential and commercial rooftop projects where rail extensions are necessary due to roof dimensions or array layout. The product is designed for outdoor use and can withstand harsh environmental conditions, making it a dependable choice for long-term installations.

Main features

• Compatible with K2 SingleRail 36 and SingleRail 50 profiles, offering flexibility across rail sizes.
• Internal connection method: slides into the rail channel and is fixed with self-tapping screws, creating a flush, low-profile joint.
• Connector body made of aluminium EN AW-6063 T66, matching the rail material to prevent galvanic corrosion.
• Fasteners are stainless steel (A2), providing high resistance to corrosion and ensuring durable clamping force.
• Set includes 2 connector pieces and 4 self-tapping screws, sufficient for one rail joint.
• Simple installation: no special tools required beyond a standard screwdriver or bit; the connector is inserted and screwed into place.
• Maintains the structural continuity of the rail, allowing for proper load distribution across the extended length.

Tips

For optimal performance, ensure the rail ends are clean and free of burrs before inserting the connector. Align the connector centrally in the rail channel and use the provided self-tapping screws to secure both rails. This connector is not intended for use as a grounding or bonding device; follow the K2 system's grounding guidelines separately. Always verify the rail profile (36 or 50) before ordering to ensure compatibility.
