KVM-Extender Icron Ranger 2312 trasmettitore e ricevitore

The Icron Ranger 2312 Transmitter & receiver is a USB 2.0 KVM extender that extends high-speed USB connections up to 100 m over CAT 5e/6/7 cabling. It supports full device and host functionality, offers USB Type-A ports for local keyboard and mouse connections, and provides Mass Storage Acceleration to improve bulk transfer performance compared with previous-generation extenders. The unit accepts AC input in the 100–240 V range and comes in a grey enclosure.

Advantages

The Ranger 2312 supports extension distances up to 100 m while preserving USB 2.0 data rates and device compatibility. Mass Storage Acceleration improves bulk transfer throughput for USB storage devices. The design allows flexible powering from either the local extender (LEX) or the remote extender (REX), and full host and device support ensures compatibility with a wide range of peripherals and KVM setups.

Suitable for

• Extending USB 2.0 keyboards, mice and mass storage devices over long distances
• KVM installations where the computer and user console are separated by up to 100 m
• Office, control room or industrial environments requiring a wired USB extension

How to use

Connect the transmitter unit to the host computer and the receiver unit to the remote console using a single CAT 5e/6/7 cable up to 100 m long. Attach local USB Type-A devices (keyboard, mouse or storage) to the specified ports on the local unit. Supply power to either the local extender (LEX) or remote extender (REX) according to your installation needs and the included power adapter instructions. Ensure both units are connected and powered before operating connected USB devices.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use shielded CAT 5e/6/7 cabling of good quality and keep cable runs within the 100 m specification. When using high-power USB devices, verify power source placement (LEX or REX) to ensure sufficient power delivery to remote peripherals.
