KWB 028180 tasselli in legno 8 x 40 mm, 40 pezzi, faggio

For furniture makers and carpenters assembling solid wood joints, the KWB 028180 wooden dowel pins provide reliable reinforcement for edge-to-edge and corner connections. These 8 mm diameter, 40 mm long pins are cut from beech hardwood with a fluted profile that allows excess glue to escape and creates a strong bond. The pack contains 40 pieces, enough for multiple projects, and the pins are supplied in a polybag for easy storage.

Key specifications

• Diameter: 8 mm
• Length: 40 mm
• Material: Beech wood
• Profile: Fluted (ribbed)
• Quantity per pack: 40 pieces
• Manufacturing standard: DIN 68150

Why choose it

Beech is a dense, stable hardwood that holds its shape and resists splitting, making these dowels suitable for load-bearing joints. The flutes along the length channel glue evenly and reduce hydraulic pressure during assembly, so the pin seats fully in the hole. Because the pins are untreated, they accept wood glue without any coating interfering with adhesion.

Ideal use cases

• Reinforcing butt joints in solid wood furniture
• Aligning and strengthening panel glue-ups
• Repairing loose or broken wooden joints
• Creating hidden joinery in cabinetry and shelving

Good to know

The pins are designed for 8 mm drill holes, matching standard woodworking drill bits. They are manufactured to DIN 68150, which specifies dimensions and tolerances for wooden dowels used in joinery. The natural wood colour blends with most timber species and can be stained or finished after assembly.
