Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 4 (Intel) is a clamshell business laptop with an Intel Core Ultra 5 228V processor and integrated Intel Arc Graphics 130V. It offers a 16" WUXGA (1920×1200) IPS low-power display, 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, and runs Windows 11 Pro. The laptop is finished in black and weighs approximately 1.89 kg, combining a large 16:10 screen with mobile productivity features and modern connectivity including Wi‑Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

Advantages

The T16 Gen 4 provides a balance of processing power and energy-efficient display technology suitable for extended work sessions. High-speed LPDDR5X memory and a PCIe 4.0 SSD deliver responsive multitasking and fast file access, while the Intel Arc Graphics 130V handles graphics-accelerated tasks. Built-in Wi‑Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 offer up-to-date wireless connectivity and the 86 Wh battery supports longer unplugged use.

Suitable for

• Professional multitasking and office productivity
• Software development and light compilation workloads
• Data analysis and spreadsheet-heavy tasks
• Mobile work and travel where a 16" screen is preferred

When it may not be suitable

This model is not intended for sustained high-end gaming or professional workstation tasks that require discrete high-performance GPUs; the integrated Intel Arc Graphics 130V is designed for graphics-accelerated productivity rather than top-tier gaming or heavy 3D rendering. Users who need multiple internal storage drives or upgradeable discrete graphics may find this clamshell configuration limiting.

Key specifications

• Processor: Intel Core Ultra 5 228V, 8 cores (4 performance + 4 efficiency), up to 4.5 GHz turbo, 8 MB cache

• Memory: 32 GB LPDDR5X-8533 (soldered)
• Storage: 1 TB M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD
• Graphics: Integrated Intel Arc Graphics 130V
• Connectivity: Wi‑Fi 7 (802.11be), Ethernet LAN (100/1000 Mbit/s), Bluetooth 5.4
• Battery and power: 86 Wh battery, 100 W charger
• Operating system: Windows 11 Pro
• Weight and colour: ~1.89 kg, black chassis

How to use

Power on the laptop and complete the Windows 11 Pro initial setup using your Microsoft account or local account as preferred. Connect to a Wi‑Fi 7 network or wired Ethernet for internet access. Use the high-resolution 16:10 display for document editing, spreadsheets and coding; the combination of LPDDR5X RAM and PCIe 4.0 SSD ensures smooth performance when switching between applications and opening large files. For extended battery life, enable power-saving profiles in Windows and reduce screen brightness when appropriate.

What to consider before purchase

• Integrated graphics means limited suitability for high-end gaming or professional 3D rendering
• Memory is soldered (LPDDR5X); verify capacity meets future needs
• Check port selection and docking requirements for your peripherals
• Weight and 16" size may be less convenient for frequent light travel

Recommendations

For best day-to-day performance, keep Windows and drivers up to date, use the 100 W charger for charging and high-load scenarios, and connect to a Wi‑Fi 7 access point to take full advantage of modern wireless speeds. If you need heavier graphics performance, consider a model with a discrete GPU.
