The Zebra DS8108-SR handheld bar code reader delivers high-performance 1D and 2D scanning in a compact, wired device. Designed for retail checkout and other point-of-service environments, the DS8108-SR combines an 800 MHz microprocessor, a high-resolution megapixel sensor and Zebra’s PRZM decoding technology to capture difficult barcodes — including dense, poorly printed, faded, crinkled, distorted, dirty or damaged codes and barcodes displayed on smartphone screens. How to use

Connect the DS8108-SR to your POS system or computer using the supplied USB cable. Aim the imager at the barcode at typical checkout distance and press the trigger; the device will automatically decode supported 1D and 2D barcodes, including codes shown on mobile device screens. For multiple-barcode capture, position the document or item so all desired barcodes are visible and use the scanning modes supported by your application to select and transmit only the required data.
