Lettore di smart card USB contactless ACTIS ACR1281U-C8ACSA800 — interfaccia USB, supporto contactless

The ACTIS ACR1281U-C8ACSA800 is a contactless USB smart card reader that connects to PCs and terminals via a standard USB interface. Designed for reading and interacting with contactless smart cards, this reader supports secure identification, access control, e-payments and similar card-based services. Its compact form factor and plug-and-play operation make it suitable for desktop environments and self-service kiosks, while compliance with common contactless card standards ensures broad compatibility with existing card systems.

Advantages

The device provides reliable contactless card detection and data exchange over a USB connection without requiring additional drivers in most operating systems. Its compact and durable housing suits continuous use in point-of-sale, access control and public terminal installations. Industry-standard contactless protocol support enables straightforward integration with software for authentication, payment processing and credential management.

Key specifications

• Interface: USB for connection to PC and terminal devices
• Card type supported: contactless smart cards (ISO/IEC compatible contactless protocols)
• Form factor: compact desktop / kiosk reader
• Operation: plug-and-play in typical OS environments (driverless in many cases)
• Usage environment: desktop, point-of-sale, kiosk and terminal installations

How to use

Connect the reader to an available USB port on the host PC or terminal. After connection, allow the operating system to recognize the device and install any required drivers if prompted. Place a compatible contactless card within the reader’s antenna field to initiate communication; follow on-screen prompts from the host application for authentication, payment or data access. Use the reader in a stable position on a desk or mounted surface to ensure consistent card placement and detection.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, keep the reader’s antenna area free from metallic objects and strong electromagnetic sources. Use the reader with up-to-date host software that supports contactless smart card protocols, and perform regular firmware or driver updates when provided by the system integrator or device vendor.
