The LG 27GS85QX-B is a 27-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440) LCD monitor with a Nano IPS panel designed for responsive gaming and detailed multimedia work. With a 16:9 native aspect ratio, 1 ms response time and up to 180 Hz panel capability, the display balances fast motion handling with high pixel density. The monitor offers a typical brightness of 400 cd/m², a flat screen shape, a built-in USB hub for convenient peripheral connection, VESA mounting compatibility and height adjustment for ergonomic positioning. The exterior is finished in black and the unit is intended for desktop setups that require WQHD clarity and low-latency performance.

Advantages

The Nano IPS panel provides wide viewing angles and improved color performance compared with standard TN panels, while the 1 ms response time and high refresh capability reduce motion blur for fast-paced content. A built-in USB hub simplifies connecting keyboards, mice or storage devices without reaching the PC, and VESA mounting plus height adjustment allow flexible placement and ergonomic tilting. Typical brightness of 400 cd/m² supports clear visuals in most indoor lighting conditions.

When it may not be suitable

This monitor has energy efficiency ratings F (SDR) and G (HDR) and relatively higher energy consumption in HDR mode, which may be a consideration for energy-conscious users. How to use

Place the monitor on a stable desk surface or attach it to a VESA-compatible mount using the supplied mounting pattern. Connect the display to your computer using DisplayPort or HDMI to take advantage of WQHD resolution and high refresh functionality; connect power and optionally plug peripherals into the built-in USB hub. Use the on-screen display (OSD) menu to adjust brightness, color presets, refresh rate and response settings. Adjust the height to an ergonomic position so the top of the screen is at or slightly below eye level and avoid prolonged viewing at excessive brightness to reduce eye strain.

What to consider before purchase

Recommendations

For gaming, pair the monitor with a GPU capable of driving WQHD resolution at high frame rates and use DisplayPort for the most consistent high-refresh experience. For color-critical tasks, allow a brief warm-up period and use the OSD color settings or calibrator to achieve consistent results. Maintain moderate brightness and take regular breaks to reduce eye fatigue.
