Lucchetto a catena FISCHER 85900 — acciaio temprato, lunghezza 900 mm

Chain lock FISCHER 85900 — hardened steel, length 900 mm is a compact security chain designed to secure bicycles, scooters and similar personal equipment. The chain is manufactured from hardened steel to increase resistance to cutting and deformation, while its 900 mm length offers a balance between portability and the ability to secure a frame to fixed objects. The product is intended for everyday outdoor use and is used together with a compatible padlock to form a complete locking solution.

Advantages

The hardened-steel links provide improved cut resistance compared with non-hardened chains, increasing the time required for forced entry attempts. A 900 mm length makes the chain easy to carry on a bike or in a bag while still allowing secure attachment to rails, posts or other fixed anchors. The construction is compact and flexible, enabling the chain to wrap around irregular shapes and to be combined with different padlock sizes. The design is straightforward and requires no special tools to operate beyond a matching padlock.

Suitable for

• Securing bicycles in public or residential areas
• Locking scooters and e-bikes during short stops
• Fastening personal equipment such as helmets or child seats to fixed anchors
• Temporary securing of garden equipment or gates

Key specifications

• Material: hardened steel links
• Length: 900 mm
• Construction: flexible chain for wrapping and fastening
• Intended use: outdoor everyday security for personal transport equipment
• Compatibility: requires a separate padlock to lock chain ends together

How to use

Thread the chain through the frame and around a fixed anchor such as a railing, post or bike stand, ensuring that the frame and, if possible, a wheel are included within the loop. Bring the chain ends together and secure them with a compatible padlock, checking that the padlock shackle engages both end links fully. Position the chain so it is tight against the secured object to reduce leverage for cutting tools. After locking, verify that links and the padlock are properly closed and that the chain does not obstruct moving parts of the vehicle.

Recommendations

Select a padlock rated for outdoor use and with sufficient shackle diameter to fit the chain ends securely. For higher security needs, use the chain in combination with a robust padlock certified to a recognized security standard. Store the chain indoors when not in use to reduce exposure to prolonged moisture and to limit corrosion. Regularly inspect links and connections for signs of wear or damage and replace the chain if any deformation or significant corrosion is found.
