Supplied in a box with two keys, the padlock offers a durable construction suitable for a range of everyday applications where a reliable mechanical lock is required.

Advantages

The ABUS T65AL/40 combines a simple keyed locking mechanism with a compact form factor and a coloured body for easy identification. Its metal construction provides reliable resistance to everyday wear and common tampering; included keys allow immediate use out of the box. The padlock’s small dimensions and light weight make it easy to carry and convenient for securing items where a medium-security mechanical lock is appropriate.

How to use

Insert the correct key into the keyway and turn to open or lock the shackle. Ensure the shackle is fully seated in the lock body before turning the key to lock. Keep the spare key in a safe place to avoid being locked out. For storage, place the padlock in its box or another dry location when not in use to maintain finish and operation.

Recommendations

For prolonged service life, avoid exposing the padlock to constant saltwater conditions; lubricate the locking mechanism occasionally with a graphite or silicone-based lock lubricant. Use the padlock where moderate mechanical protection is sufficient and combine it with other security measures if higher protection is required.
