This body-only tool is ready for your existing Makita 18V LXT batteries, combining zero emissions, low noise, and minimal maintenance with genuine outdoor power.

Overview

The DUC258Z01 is engineered for professional landscapers, arborists, and demanding homeowners who need a lightweight, manoeuvrable chainsaw without the hassle of fuel or cords. Its brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently than brushed equivalents, extending runtime per charge and overall tool life. The 25 cm (10") bar is ideal for pruning, limbing, and small felling tasks, while the 3/8" pitch, 1.1 mm gauge chain (type 90PX) ensures smooth, fast cuts.

What stands out

• Tool-less chain tensioning – adjust chain tension quickly and precisely without extra tools, reducing downtime on the job.
• Automatic chain lubrication – keeps the chain and bar properly oiled for consistent performance and longer component life, with a 160 ml oil tank capacity.
• Electric brake – stops the chain rapidly when the trigger is released, enhancing operator safety.
• XPT (eXtreme Protection Technology) – protects internal components from dust and water, ensuring reliability in tough outdoor conditions.
• Low noise and vibration – sound pressure level of 92 dB(A) and front handle vibration of only 3.2 m/s², reducing fatigue during extended use.
