Matita Staedtler Noris 120 HB

The Staedtler Noris 120 HB pencil is a classic writing and drawing instrument with an HB hardness grade that balances darkness and durability of the stroke. Featuring the recognizable black-and-yellow livery and made in Germany, this pencil is produced from quality materials to deliver consistent performance for everyday tasks. Each pack contains two pencils, suitable for school, office or home use.

Advantages

The Staedtler Noris 120 HB offers a reliable graphite core that produces smooth, even lines for writing and sketching. Its HB grade provides medium hardness that resists frequent breakage while still allowing clear, legible marks. The familiar black-and-yellow design improves visibility in pencil cases and on desks. Precision manufacturing and balanced wood casing ensure easy sharpening and comfortable handling during extended use.

Suitable for

• General writing and note-taking in school or office
• Sketching, shading and preliminary drawing
• Standard pencil tests and exercises
• Everyday household and craft tasks requiring a medium-hard lead

Key specifications

• Hardness grade: HB (medium)
• Quantity per pack: 2 pencils
• Body colours: black and yellow
• Core material: graphite (standard pencil core)
• Origin: manufactured in Germany

How to use

Hold the pencil at a comfortable angle to control line weight and pressure. For writing, use light, consistent strokes; for sketching or shading, vary pressure to achieve tonal differences. Sharpen with a standard pencil sharpener designed for wooden pencils to maintain a clean point. Store the pencils in a dry place to protect the wood casing and graphite core.

Recommendations

Use the Staedtler Noris 120 HB for everyday tasks where a balance between durability and mark visibility is required. Replace when the point becomes too short or the core shows repeated breakage. For precise technical drawing, consider using a mechanical or harder-grade pencil; for darker shading, choose a softer grade.
