Mattoncini COBI Citroën Traction Avant 11CV 1938 1900 pezzi

Released under license from the French automotive manufacturer, the COBI Citroen Traction Avant 11CV 1938 set recreates an iconic front-wheel‑drive car in brick form. The original model, produced between 1937 and 1957, featured a unibody construction and front-wheel drive. This COBI set contains 1,900 high-quality elements and builds a large-scale model at approximately 1:12 scale, resulting in a finished length of around 37 cm. The finished model includes spinning wheels, opening doors, a working steering wheel, a tilting hood, an opening trunk, a brick-built engine and detailed interior elements. The set is produced in Poland and is intended for builders aged 10 and up.

Advantages

The model uses 1,900 well-crafted COBI blocks to recreate authentic exterior and interior details at 1:12 scale. Functional features such as a working steering wheel, opening doors, tilting hood and opening trunk increase interactivity and display value. Numbered bags and clear illustrated instructions simplify assembly for hobbyists and collectors. The large size and detailed finish make the model suitable both for hands-on building and for display within a collection.

How to use

Sort the numbered bags and follow the clear, illustrated instruction booklet step by step. Assemble sub‑sections according to the instructions, connect modules to form the body and chassis, and install moving elements such as the steering column and wheel. After completing the build, check movable parts — doors, hood and trunk — for smooth operation and place the model on a flat surface for display. No glue or special tools are required; only the included blocks and manual are needed.

Recommendations

Assemble on a clean, flat surface with good lighting. Keep small parts away from children under the recommended age. For display, place the model on a stable shelf or stand to avoid accidental falls; to preserve colours, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
