The Techly I-CABINET-TRAY14BK Black 4U 19 inch is a 4U rack shelf designed for standard 19-inch network and server cabinets. With a black finish and a width of 480 mm and depth of 600 mm, the shelf provides a stable platform for a variety of rack-mounted and non-rack equipment. The tray-style design fits into 4U of rack space and supports devices that require an open, ventilated surface rather than enclosed mounting.

Advantages

The unit is made to fit standard 19-inch racks and occupies 4U of vertical space, offering compatibility with most server rooms and network cabinets. Its 480 mm width and 600 mm depth create ample surface area for equipment such as small switches, power supplies, patch panels, and peripheral devices. The black finish provides a consistent visual appearance in commercial and technical installations. The shelf is practical for organizing equipment that does not have rack ears or requires horizontal placement.

Suitable for

• Supporting non-rack-mountable devices inside 19-inch racks
• Placing power distribution units, small UPS units, or network switches
• Storing patch panels, cable management accessories, and tools
• Temporary placement of test equipment or service laptops in server rooms

How to use

Install the shelf into a compatible 19-inch cabinet by aligning the rack-mount holes with the cabinet’s vertical rails at the desired 4U position and fastening with appropriate rack screws or cage nuts. Place equipment on the shelf ensuring the load is evenly distributed and within the cabinet’s load capacity. Leave space for airflow around heat-generating devices and route cables toward existing cable-management features to maintain an organized installation.

Recommendations

Verify the cabinet’s load limits and secure heavy equipment close to the rack’s vertical mounting points. Use cable ties or cable trays to prevent strain on connections, and avoid blocking ventilation paths. For devices with their own mounting brackets, consider using dedicated rack mounts when available; use the tray shelf for items that require a flat surface.
