Monitor Acer KA242YP6b 23,8" Full HD 1920x1080 IPS 144 Hz 16:9 nero

The Acer KA242YP6b is a 23.8-inch Full HD (1920x1080) IPS monitor with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 144 Hz refresh rate. It provides clear 1080p visuals on a matte panel designed to reduce reflections, and its high refresh rate supports smoother motion rendering for gaming, video playback and interactive applications. The monitor's slim bezel design and matte black finish make it suitable for single- and multi-monitor setups in home or office environments.

Advantages

The IPS panel delivers consistent colors and wide viewing angles, while Full HD resolution ensures readable text and sharp images at this display size. The 144 Hz refresh rate reduces motion blur and improves perceived responsiveness during fast-paced games and when scrolling or moving windows. The matte surface reduces glare from ambient light sources, and the monitor's compact 23.8-inch footprint fits on most desks without occupying excessive space.

Suitable for

• Casual and competitive gaming where higher refresh rates improve smoothness
• Multimedia playback including movies and streaming in 1080p
• Office productivity tasks such as word processing, spreadsheets and web browsing
• Multi-monitor configurations for extended workspace

When it may not be suitable

This monitor is Full HD (1920x1080), so users who require higher than 1080p resolution for detailed professional photo or video editing may find it limiting on a 23.8-inch screen. It also does not replace specialized wide-gamut or high-dynamic-range reference displays for color-critical work.

• Screen size: 23.8 inches
• Panel type: IPS
• Native resolution: 1920 x 1080 (Full HD)
• Aspect ratio: 16:9
• Refresh rate: 144 Hz

How to use

Connect the monitor to a compatible graphics source using the available video input (confirm cable and port compatibility on the device). For gaming, configure the source device to output at 1920x1080 resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate in the operating system or graphics driver settings. Adjust brightness, contrast and color settings from the monitor's on-screen menu to suit ambient lighting and personal preference. Position the monitor at eye level and a comfortable viewing distance to reduce neck strain and eye fatigue.

What to consider before purchase

• Ensure your graphics card and cables support 1920x1080 at 144 Hz
• Confirm the available video inputs on the monitor match your PC or console outputs
• Check whether you need a wider color gamut or higher resolution for professional work
• Verify desk space and mounting needs; confirm stand or VESA compatibility if required

Recommendations

For best results in gaming, use a high-quality DisplayPort or HDMI cable rated for 144 Hz, enable the 144 Hz refresh rate in your system settings, and calibrate brightness and contrast to your environment. For long work sessions, enable blue light reduction modes if available and take regular breaks to reduce eye strain.
