Motosega a batteria Bosch UniversalChain 18 — barra 13,5 cm, lunghezza di taglio 20 cm, batteria 2,5 Ah, 3 kg

The Bosch UniversalChain 18 is a battery-powered chainsaw designed for light to medium cutting tasks around the home and garden. It features a 20 cm guide bar with a 13.5 cm cutting chain and runs on an 18 V battery with a 2.5 Ah capacity. The tool delivers a chain speed of 4.5 m/s while maintaining low vibration levels (3.7 m/s²) and a sound pressure level of 84 dB. With a total weight of approximately 3 kg, the UniversalChain 18 is compact and easy to maneuver for pruning, firewood preparation, and general outdoor maintenance.

Advantages

The chainsaw combines cordless convenience with a lightweight design, allowing straightforward handling without the constraints of a power cord. Low vibration emission improves operator comfort during continued use and the moderate sound pressure helps reduce noise exposure. The 20 cm bar and 13.5 cm chain provide a balance between cutting reach and precise control for common garden jobs. Battery operation eliminates direct exhaust emissions and simplifies maintenance compared with petrol models.

Suitable for

• Pruning fruit trees and ornamental shrubs
• Cutting small-diameter logs for firewood
• Trimming fallen branches and clearing garden debris
• DIY outdoor woodworking where a compact chainsaw is needed

• Guide bar length: 20 cm
• Cutting chain length: 13.5 cm
• Chain speed: 4.5 m/s
• Battery voltage: 18 V
• Battery capacity: 2.5 Ah
• Vibration emission (weighted): 3.7 m/s²

How to use

Before first use, ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted according to the tool’s instructions. Check chain tension and lubrication level; adjust tension as required and top up chain oil before cutting. Hold the chainsaw with both hands, maintaining a firm grip and stable stance. Start cutting with smooth, controlled movements, allowing the chain to reach full speed before engaging the wood. Avoid twisting the bar or forcing the saw through large or knotty sections; make multiple lighter passes where needed. After use, switch the tool off, remove the battery, clean sawdust from the bar and chain, and store the chainsaw in a dry place.

Recommendations

For safe and efficient operation, wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as cut-resistant gloves, eye and ear protection, and sturdy footwear. Use only compatible Bosch 18 V batteries and recommended chain oil. Regularly inspect the chain for wear and sharpen or replace it when cutting performance decreases. Allow the battery to cool between long cutting sessions and follow the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule to extend tool life.
