NAS QNAP HS-264 2 vani con Intel Celeron N5105, 8 GB RAM

QNAP HS-264 2-bay with Intel Celeron N5105, 8GB RAM is a compact network-attached storage (NAS) device designed for home and small office use. It incorporates an Intel Celeron N5105 processor and 8GB of RAM, supporting two drive bays for HDD or SSD storage. The fanless or near-silent design is intended for living-room or office placement, while the system provides centralized file access, media streaming and backup capabilities through the QNAP software ecosystem.

Advantages

The HS-264 combines an Intel Celeron N5105 processor with 8GB of RAM to handle concurrent file transfers, media transcoding and typical backup tasks. Its two drive bays support flexible storage configurations with HDDs or SSDs for capacity or performance. The compact, quiet enclosure reduces noise impact in shared spaces. Built-in QNAP management tools simplify storage setup, user access controls and scheduled backups, enabling straightforward centralized data management.

Suitable for

• Home media streaming and personal cloud storage
• Small office file sharing and centralized backups
• Light virtualization, containerized applications and home labs within hardware limits
• Data consolidation and archival with two-drive redundancy or capacity setups

Key specifications

• Model: QNAP HS-264 (MPN: HS-264-8GSO, EAN: 2000001252628)
• Processor: Intel Celeron N5105
• Memory: 8GB RAM
• Drive bays: 2 x HDD/SSD bays
• Intended use: Home and small office NAS, media streaming, file sharing, backups

How to use

Install compatible 2.5" or 3.5" HDDs or SSDs into the two drive bays following the manufacturer’s instructions. Connect the NAS to your local network via Ethernet and power it on. Use QNAP’s QTS or QuTS hero management interface to perform initial setup: create storage pools or volumes, configure shared folders and set up user accounts and permissions. Enable network services needed for your use cases, such as SMB/CIFS for Windows file sharing, NFS for Unix systems, or DLNA/UPnP for media streaming. Configure scheduled backups, snapshot policies or RAID-like redundancy according to your data protection needs.

Recommendations

Place the NAS on a stable, well-ventilated surface away from direct heat sources. Use drives recommended by QNAP for compatibility, and keep the device firmware and applications updated. For critical data, implement a backup strategy that includes offsite or cloud backups in addition to local redundancy.
