How to use

Attach a sanding band securely to a compatible mandrel and tighten according to the rotary tool manufacturer’s instructions. Operate the rotary tool at an appropriate speed for the material—lower speeds for metals and harder materials, medium to higher speeds for wood and fiberglass—applying light, even pressure. Move the tool steadily to avoid gouging and replace bands when abrasive effectiveness decreases.

Recommendations

Use personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, dust mask and gloves. Test on a scrap piece to determine optimal speed and pressure for the material. Avoid excessive heat buildup by using intermittent passes and allowing the workpiece to cool.
