Nastro adesivo double-sided Tesa 4970 30 mm x 50 m PVC con adesivo acrilico

Tesa double-sided tape 4970 is a thin PVC adhesive tape, 30 mm wide and 50 m long, coated on both sides with a clear acrylic adhesive. Engineered for versatile mounting and fixing tasks, the tape delivers fast initial tack and sustained adhesion on a variety of substrates. Its slim profile makes it suitable where a discreet, low-build bond is required while the PVC backing provides dimensional stability and resistance to stretching.

Advantages

The acrylic adhesive offers strong initial bonding and good long-term holding power on many surfaces, including painted wood, metals, plastics and laminates. The PVC backing ensures flexibility and tear resistance during application, enabling clean handling and cutting. As a double-sided option, the tape provides an invisible bond line and reduces the need for mechanical fasteners in light assembly and mounting jobs. It is suitable for indoor use and where a thin, durable joining solution is preferred.

Suitable for

• Mounting lightweight panels, trims and moldings
• Fixing signs, nameplates and decorative elements
• Joining materials in craft and hobby projects
• Temporary or permanent bonding in home and workshop tasks
• Surface-to-surface bonding where a low-profile joint is required

Key specifications

• Backing material: PVC
• Adhesive type: acrylic
• Tape width: 30 mm
• Length: 50 m
• Color: transparent/clear adhesive
• Thickness: thin profile suitable for low-build joints

How to use

Ensure both surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease or silicone residues before application. Measure and cut the required tape length, peel off one liner and apply the tape firmly to the first surface, smoothing out any air pockets. Remove the remaining liner and press the second surface onto the tape with even pressure to achieve maximum contact. For improved bond strength, apply pressure for several seconds and allow the adhesive to develop full strength according to ambient temperature and substrate porosity.

Recommendations

Best results are achieved on smooth, flat surfaces at room temperature. Avoid application on heavily textured, dusty or oily surfaces. When bonding low-surface-energy plastics, test adhesion first and consider a primer if necessary. Not recommended for structural load-bearing applications or continuous outdoor exposure without protection.
