Nastro riflettente 3M Diamond Grade 983-72 rosso alta visibilità, rotolo (3M 98372S)

3M Diamond Grade 983-72 Red High Visibility reflective tape is a flexible, durable retroreflective material designed to increase detection of objects and surfaces in low-light and nighttime conditions. The tape delivers strong red retroreflection that improves conspicuity on vehicles, signs, equipment and other surfaces where enhanced visibility is required. It is supplied as a roll suitable for cutting to length and applying to clean, smooth substrates to create continuous or segmented high-visibility markings.

Advantages

The material features high retroreflective brightness and a diamond-grade microprismatic structure that returns light effectively to its source, improving recognition distances. Its pressure-sensitive adhesive backing allows for straightforward application on appropriate clean, dry, and smooth surfaces. The tape is weather-resistant and designed to withstand outdoor exposure, maintaining color and reflective performance over time under typical service conditions. Its flexible substrate conforms to slightly curved surfaces and can be cut to custom sizes for tailored installations.

How to use

Prepare the surface by cleaning and drying to remove dirt, oil, and loose particles; smooth surfaces yield the best adhesion and optical performance. Measure and cut the tape to the required length using a straight edge and sharp cutting tool. Peel the liner and apply using firm, even pressure to avoid air pockets; a roller can improve adhesion on larger areas or slightly curved surfaces. Ensure edges are pressed down to reduce moisture ingress. Allow the adhesive to cure according to ambient temperature conditions before subjecting the tape to mechanical stress or washing.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, apply the tape only to suitable substrates (clean, dry, smooth, and non-porous). Avoid applying to highly textured, freshly painted, or contaminated surfaces. Follow local regulations regarding placement and color use for vehicle and traffic applications. Store unused material in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to preserve adhesive and optical properties.
