Nastro Tesa 4657 caucciù grigio 50 m

tesa® 4657 is a high-grade acrylic-coated cloth tape based on a 145 mesh woven cotton fabric with a thermosetting natural rubber (caoutchouc) adhesive. Supplied in a grey colour, this model comes in rolls of 50 m length and 30 mm width and is designed for applications requiring good tensile strength and heat resistance.

Advantages

The tape combines a strong woven cotton backing with a caoutchouc adhesive to provide reliable adhesion, a tensile strength of 105 N/mm² and an elongation at break of 7.5%. It is temperature-resistant up to 180 °C and is available in low-unwinding (PV1) and on a yellow glassine paper liner (PV9) variants for easier handling and die-cutting.

Suitable for

• Marking and closing of packages and assemblies
• Die-cut parts and applications requiring precise tape placement
• Indoor and outdoor repairs where heat resistance is needed
• Industrial masking or bundling tasks

How to use

Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free of dust or oils before applying. Cut or unwind the required length, press the tape firmly onto the surface to achieve full contact and adhesion. For die-cutting use the PV1 or PV9 variants if available; store rolls flat and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to preserve adhesive properties.

Recommendations

For best performance, apply at room temperature on prepared surfaces and allow a short dwell time to develop full adhesive strength. When used near its upper temperature limit, test the tape in the specific application to confirm suitability.
