Nastro Tesa 4965 12 mm x 50 m

Tesa 4965 12 mm x 50 m is a red ABS adhesive tape designed for precise bonding tasks. With a 12 mm width and a 50 m roll length, this tape provides a narrow, continuous strip suitable for masking, edge marking, fixing small parts and general assembly where a durable, color-coded adhesive is required. The ABS backing gives dimensional stability and resistance to stretching, while the adhesive offers consistent tack for reliable attachment to many common substrates.

Advantages

The tape combines an ABS carrier with a stable adhesive formulation to deliver long-lasting adhesion and good resistance to mechanical stress. Its narrow width enables accurate application in confined or detailed work areas, and the red color improves visibility for marking and safety purposes. The roll format minimizes joints and reduces downtime when covering long runs.

Suitable for

• Masking of small areas during painting and finishing
• Edge identification and color-coded marking
• Temporary fixation of light components in assembly
• DIY repairs and hobby projects requiring narrow adhesive strips

Key specifications

• Material: ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) backing
• Color: Red
• Width: 12 mm
• Length: 50 m
• Form: Single-sided adhesive tape on a roll

How to use

Ensure the substrate surface is clean, dry and free from dust, grease or loose particles before applying the tape. Unwind the required length and press the tape down with even pressure to achieve full contact between adhesive and surface. For best results on irregular surfaces, apply with a roller or firm fingertip pressure to remove trapped air. To remove, lift an edge and pull back slowly at a low angle to avoid residue; if residue remains, clean the area with a suitable solvent recommended for the surface.

Recommendations

Store the tape in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and high humidity. For optimal adhesion, apply at room temperature and avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat or cold. Test on an inconspicuous area when using on sensitive finishes or plastics to confirm compatibility.
