Nastro Tesa 4965 38 mm x 50 m

Tesa 4965 38 mm x 50 m is a high-performance adhesive tape made from Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS). With a 38 mm width and 50 m length in a vivid red color, this tape combines strong initial tack and long-term adhesion suitable for a range of assembly and marking tasks. The ABS carrier provides good dimensional stability and resistance to mechanical stress, while the pressure-sensitive adhesive ensures reliable bonding to many common substrates for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Advantages

The tape offers strong adhesive strength and good shear resistance, providing durable bonds on metals, plastics and painted surfaces. Its ABS backing contributes to tear resistance and consistent unwinding during application. The red color ensures high visibility for marking and safety applications. The construction is designed for ease of handling and effective performance in moderate temperature ranges and typical industrial environments.

Suitable for

• Marking and colour-coding in production or warehousing
• Temporary surface protection and bundling
• Fixing light components and cable management
• General assembly where a visible, durable tape is required

Key specifications

• Material of backing: Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS)
• Adhesive type: pressure-sensitive adhesive
• Width: 38 mm
• Length: 50 m
• Colour: red
• Suitable environments: indoor and outdoor use
• Performance traits: high initial tack, good shear resistance, tear-resistant backing

How to use

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, oil or loose particles before application. Cut or unwind the required length of tape and apply with firm pressure to the substrate to activate the adhesive and achieve optimal contact. For curved or textured surfaces, press along the tape to remove air pockets and improve bonding. When removing, pull back slowly at a low angle to reduce the risk of adhesive residue or surface damage; removal behaviour depends on the substrate and exposure time.

Recommendations

Store tape in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and temperatures outside typical room range to preserve adhesive performance. For long-term permanent bonds or critical load-bearing applications, test compatibility with the intended substrate and environmental conditions prior to full-scale use.
