NITEK trasmettitore/ricevitore a due fili passivo connettore BNC ingresso/uscita

In a busy warehouse, a security technician needs to extend a camera signal over existing network cabling without pulling new coaxial lines. The NITEK VB39-M passive video balun transceiver solves this by converting a BNC video signal to balanced twisted pair, allowing transmission over Cat5e/6 UTP cable. It works in pairs—one at the camera, one at the DVR—and requires no power, making it ideal for retrofits and long runs.

Key specifications

• Passive operation: no external power required
• BNC male connector for coaxial input/output
• 2-pin screw terminal for twisted pair connection
• Supports NTSC, PAL, and SECAM video formats
• Transmits color video up to 400 m (1300 ft) and B/W up to 600 m (2000 ft) over Cat5e/6 UTP
• 75 Ohm coaxial impedance, 100 Ohm UTP impedance
• Frequency response 0–6 MHz, insertion loss < 1 dB
• Built-in surge and ESD protection
• ABS plastic housing, operating temperature -10°C to 50°C

Why choose it

This balun eliminates the need for dedicated coax runs by leveraging existing structured cabling. Its compact inline design installs directly on camera BNC connectors or via short coax leads. The passive circuitry ensures zero power consumption and long-term reliability, while surge protection guards against voltage spikes.

Ideal use cases

• CCTV surveillance systems in commercial and industrial facilities
• Retrofitting analog cameras in buildings with UTP infrastructure
• Video distribution over twisted pair in multi-camera setups
• Temporary installations where quick deployment is needed

Good to know

Always use one balun at each end of the twisted pair run. For best results, use solid-core Cat5e or Cat6 cable. The device is compatible with standard 75-ohm coaxial equipment and fits directly onto BNC jacks.
