With multiple access points and smart pocket layout, you can grab essentials without unpacking everything.

Ideal use cases

• Multi-day backpacking trips and hut-to-hut treks
• Extended hiking and mountaineering in variable weather
• Travel where a durable, carry-on-friendly pack is needed
• Winter camping with room for extra layers and gear

Good to know

The Kestrel 48 is designed for a men's fit, with shoulder straps and hipbelt shaped for male anatomy. The L/XL size fits torso lengths from approximately 48 to 58 cm. The pack is compatible with Osprey's Hydraulics reservoirs and other 3-litre hydration systems. All zippers are YKK for long-term reliability, and the nylon dobby fabric resists abrasion from rocks and branches.
