Passacavo Cimco 141070

The Cimco 141070 cable grommet is a compact protective fitting designed for feed-through openings where small-diameter cables pass through panels or enclosures. Manufactured from durable plastic with a brass-colored finish and a red trim, the grommet provides a sealed interface around the cable to reduce chafing and prevent sharp-edge damage at the entry point. With a 2 mm internal diameter, it is intended for thin signal or control wires and offers a neat, finished appearance for installations in equipment, cabinets, or devices.

Advantages

The plastic body combines impact resistance and flexibility while the metallic brass-like finish improves surface wear characteristics and visual integration with metal panels. The 2 mm inner diameter ensures a snug fit for small cables, limiting movement and abrasion. Its compact dimensions and simple design allow for quick installation into pre-drilled holes, and the red trim provides a visible marker for cable routing or identification.

Suitable for

• Routing and protecting small signal, sensor or control wires through panels and enclosures
• Electrical cabinets, consumer devices and industrial equipment with thin-cable harnesses
• Applications where prevention of cable abrasion and insulation damage is required

Key specifications

• Material: durable plastic body with brass-colored finish and red trim
• Inner diameter: 2 mm for small-diameter cables
• Design: snap-in or press-fit style for installation into pre-drilled panel holes
• Function: protects cable insulation from sharp edges and reduces wear

How to use

Select a panel hole that matches the grommet outer diameter and ensure the opening edges are clean and free of burrs. Press the grommet into the hole until the flange sits flush with the panel surface. Feed the cable through the central 2 mm opening; if needed, route cables carefully to avoid excessive bending at the entry point. For removal, gently pry the flange and extract the grommet without damaging the surrounding panel.

Recommendations

Use the grommet with cables that have a conductor or insulated diameter slightly less than 2 mm to ensure a secure fit. Avoid forcing oversized cables through the opening to prevent deformation. Inspect the grommet periodically in high-vibration environments and replace it if signs of wear, cracking, or loss of retention are observed.
