Pennarello gessetto Edding 4090 punta a scalpello rosso

The Edding 4090 Chalk Marker in red is a non-permanent liquid chalk pen with an extra-broad chisel nib designed for clear, dust-free writing and marking on smooth, non-porous surfaces such as chalkboards, glass, mirrors and windows. The water-based, opaque ink delivers bold red lines that are easy to wipe off with a damp cloth, making the marker suitable for both creative home projects and professional use in restaurants, bars or the glass industry. Made in Germany, this model (MPN 4-4090002, EAN 4004764787739) combines reliable flow and strong colour coverage for versatile temporary signage and decoration.

Advantages

The extra-broad chisel nib produces strokes from 4 to 15 mm for flexible lettering and drawing. The highly opaque, water-based liquid chalk has a neutral smell and provides clean, sharp markings that remain removable from non-porous surfaces with a damp cloth. Available in a range of colours, the Edding 4090 offers consistent pigmentation and smooth application for both bold signs and decorative accents.

Suitable for

• Chalkboards and blackboards in cafés, restaurants and bars
• Glass surfaces and windows for temporary signage
• Mirrors and display cases for promotional or decorative text
• Plexiglas and other smooth non-porous materials

How to use

Shake the marker well with the cap on to mix the pigment. Press the nib several times on a scrap surface until the ink flows evenly. Write or draw using the chisel edge for wide strokes and the corner for finer lines. To remove markings, wipe the surface with a damp cloth; for stubborn residues, use a mild glass cleaner. Always replace the cap after use to prevent the nib from drying out.

Recommendations

Store horizontally when not in use and test on an inconspicuous area first to ensure compatibility with the surface. Avoid using on porous or untreated surfaces where the ink may not be fully removable.
