How to use

Ensure the angle grinder is switched off and disconnected from power before fitting the backing pad. Align the pad with the grinder spindle and secure it according to the tool manufacturer's instructions, confirming a tight and centered fit. Attach an appropriate 125 mm hook-and-loop abrasive or polishing pad by pressing it onto the backing surface until fully engaged. During operation, hold the grinder with a firm two-handed grip, apply consistent, moderate pressure and move the tool steadily across the work surface to avoid gouging or overheating the abrasive.

Recommendations

Inspect the backing pad before each use for cracks, excessive wear or damaged fastening surfaces. Use abrasives and pads rated for the intended material and rotation speed of the angle grinder. Replace the backing pad if it shows signs of deformation or if the hook-and-loop surface no longer secures discs reliably. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection, and follow safe operating practices for angle grinders.
