Bachmann Illu-Fassung E27 is an E27 lamp holder designed for standard screw-base bulbs. The model 740.000 features a compact plastic body with integrated single-use connector that simplifies the electrical connection during installation. It is intended for use in lighting fixtures and as a direct replacement where a reliable E27 socket is required, providing a straightforward solution for residential and commercial lighting projects and fast retrofits.

Advantages

The lamp holder supports common E27 screw-base lamps and is manufactured to ensure consistent electrical contact and mechanical stability. The integrated one-way connector streamlines wiring by allowing a secure single insertion during installation, reducing time and handling complexity. The design is compact and compatible with a variety of fixture mounting arrangements, making it practical for new installations and replacements.

Suitable for

• Replacing a damaged or worn E27 socket in residential fixtures
• Installing E27 luminaires in kitchens, living rooms, hallways, and offices
• Fast retrofits where quick electrical connection is needed
• Lighting projects requiring a standard screw-base holder with simple wiring

Key specifications

• Socket type: E27 (standard Edison screw)
• Connector: single-use (one-way) electrical connector for quick insertion
• Material: durable insulating plastic body with metal contact elements
• Mounting: designed for fixture integration and direct replacement applications
• Compatibility: suitable for standard E27 bulbs including LED, incandescent, and CFL where applicable

How to use

Ensure mains power is disconnected before beginning work. Remove the old socket if present and prepare the fixture for installation. Insert wiring into the single-use connector as described by the fixture wiring plan and push to engage the one-way connector until it locks. Mount the lamp holder in the fixture’s socket opening and secure mechanically according to the fixture design. Restore power and test with a compatible E27 lamp.

Recommendations

Check that the selected lamp’s voltage and wattage are compatible with the fixture and local electrical standards. The single-use connector is intended for a single secure insertion during installation; if rewiring is required after connection, replace the connector or the lamp holder to maintain safe contact. Follow local regulations and, when in doubt, consult a qualified electrician for installation.
