Presa AS Schwabe 45080 IP54 rossa — presa resistente alle intemperie per uso esterno

AS Schwabe 45080 IP54 red is a weatherproof power outlet designed for outdoor and damp locations. The red enclosure and hinged cover help protect the socket from splashes and dust while allowing connection of garden tools, power equipment and temporary outdoor installations. The unit provides a practical, fixed connection point where moderate protection against water ingress and particulate contamination is required.

Advantages

The IP54-rated housing offers protection against limited dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, extending service life in exposed environments. A hinged protective cover keeps the contacts shielded when the socket is not in use, and the visible red colour simplifies identification among outdoor electrical fittings. The compact design allows straightforward wall or surface mounting and integration into outdoor power distribution setups without excessive bulk.

How to use

Install the AS Schwabe IP54 socket on a suitable stable surface following local electrical regulations and safety standards. Ensure the supply is isolated before wiring and use appropriately rated cable and protective devices. After installation, connect outdoor equipment by opening the hinged cover and inserting the plug fully; close the cover when the socket is not in use to maintain protection against splashes. Regularly check the enclosure, seals and mounting for damage or wear and repair or replace components as needed.

Recommendations

Use the socket in conditions consistent with its IP54 rating: it is suitable for splashes and limited dust but not for immersion or continuous heavy water exposure. Pair the outlet with residual current protection and appropriate overcurrent devices for enhanced safety. For permanent installations in very exposed or wet locations, consider higher protection classes or additional sheltering.
