Presa Merten MEG2314-0319 CEE 7/3 16 A 250 V IP44 bianco termoplastico

Merten MEG2314-0319 CEE 7/3 socket-outlet is intended for connection of appliances with CEE 7/4 plugs. The outlet is rated for 250 V and 16 A and is housed in a white thermoplastic enclosure that provides basic mechanical resistance. With an IP44 ingress protection rating, the device is suitable for locations where protection against solid objects larger than 1 mm and water splashes is required. The compact design and neutral white colour allow installation in both residential and light commercial environments.

Advantages

The socket-outlet supports standard CEE 7/3/C7 wiring and accepts CEE 7/4 plugs, ensuring compatibility with common European mains connectors. Its IP44 protection reduces risk from splashes and dust, making it suitable for sheltered outdoor locations or rooms with occasional moisture. The thermoplastic housing is resistant to normal wear and provides electrical insulation. Rated at 16 A and 250 V, the unit meets common load requirements for household and small commercial electrical equipment.

Suitable for

• Indoor power connection for household appliances with CEE 7/4 plugs
• Sheltered outdoor installations such as porches, garages, and covered terraces
• Light commercial use in workshops, service rooms, and retail backrooms

Key specifications

• Nominal voltage: 250 V
• Nominal current: 16 A
• Connector compatibility: CEE 7/3 socket for CEE 7/4 plugs
• Ingress protection: IP44 (splash and solid-object protection)
• Housing material: thermoplastic
• Colour: white

How to use

Mount the socket-outlet according to local electrical codes and the manufacturer’s installation instructions. Ensure power is disconnected before wiring. Connect supply conductors to the corresponding terminals, verify secure connections and proper grounding, then fix the outlet into the mounting box and attach the cover. After installation, restore power and test with an appropriate appliance or outlet tester to confirm correct operation and grounding continuity.

Recommendations

Use this socket-outlet in locations where moderate protection from moisture and dust is sufficient; avoid direct exposure to heavy rain or immersion. For permanently exposed outdoor installations or areas with high humidity, select a higher IP-rated enclosure. Ensure the connected load does not exceed 16 A and follow local wiring regulations and safety standards during installation.
