Prolunga AS Schwabe 38604 4,5 m con protezione differenziale, connettore maschio e femmina con messa a terra

AS Schwabe 38604 is a 4.5 m mains extension cable with built-in residual-current device (RCD) and grounded plug and socket. The integrated RCD provides automatic disconnection in case of earth leakage, reducing the risk of electric shock for connected appliances. The extension is intended for temporary supply of power indoors and for light outdoor applications where additional protection against residual current is required.

Advantages

The extension cable combines length and safety by offering a 4.5 m reach together with an integrated RCD that trips on leakage currents. A grounded plug and socket ensure proper earthing of connected devices. The compact RCD module is incorporated into the cable body to provide protection without separate external devices. The design supports simple connection to household sockets and is compatible with equipment requiring an earthed supply.

Key specifications

How to use

Connect the grounded plug to a compatible mains socket and press any reset or test button on the RCD unit if present according to the manufacturer's marking before use. Plug the device to be powered into the grounded socket of the extension. Operate the RCD according to the printed instructions: test the device periodically using the test button and reset it if it has tripped. Avoid permanent outdoor installation; use the extension only for temporary connections and disconnect from the mains when not in use.

Recommendations

Ensure the mains supply matches the rated voltage and current requirements of connected equipment. Inspect the cable, plug and RCD housing for visible damage before each use. Do not use the extension if the RCD or grounding contacts are damaged or if the unit fails a test. For prolonged outdoor or heavy-duty applications choose an appropriate outdoor-rated cable or fixed RCD-protected installation performed by a qualified electrician.
