Prolunga AS Schwabe 59205, 5 m, 3×1,5 mm²

Extension cable AS Schwabe 59205, 5 m, 3×1.5 mm² is a five‑metre mains extension cord with three conductors of 1.5 mm² cross‑section intended for general indoor and outdoor use where a standard power extension is required. The cable supplies power to appliances, hand tools and devices within a 5 m reach and is suitable for typical household and light industrial loads that match 1.5 mm² wiring capacities. The construction balances flexibility and mechanical durability for straightforward everyday use.

Advantages

The extension cable offers a compact, easy‑to‑route solution for extending mains power without complex installation. Its three‑core design enables single‑phase connections including live, neutral and earth. The 1.5 mm² conductor cross‑section provides adequate current carrying capacity for many domestic appliances and most portable tools while keeping the cable flexible. Insulation and sheath materials provide basic mechanical protection for indoor and temporary outdoor use.

How to use

Unroll the extension cable fully to avoid heat build‑up during use. Connect the plug to a compatible mains socket and attach the appliance or tool to the cable’s socket, ensuring that live, neutral and earth are correctly engaged. Avoid routing the cable across sharp edges or hot surfaces and keep it away from standing water. For continuous or heavy loads check that the connected device’s current draw is within the safe capacity of 1.5 mm² conductors. When not in use store the cable coiled without tight knots to preserve insulation and flexibility.

Recommendations

Do not use the extension cable as a permanent substitute for fixed wiring. For prolonged outdoor exposure, wet conditions or continuous heavy loads choose a cable rated specifically for those conditions. Inspect connectors and sheath for damage before each use and replace the cable if mechanical damage or exposed conductors are found.
