Prolunga USB-C ProXtend USBC-EX5V3A-001 – 1 m, 5V/3A Power Pass-Through

ProXtend USBC-EX5V3A-001 is a 1-meter USB-C extension cable that extends an existing USB-C connection while maintaining power pass-through at 5V and up to 3A. The cable provides a simple way to increase reach between a device and its charger or host without replacing the original USB-C cable. Its compact length and flexible jacket make routing and placement convenient for desks, workstations, and mobile setups.

Advantages

The extension cable preserves the original connection and supports power delivery up to 5V/3A, enabling charging and peripheral power without introducing additional power negotiation complexities. The 1 m length reduces cable clutter compared with long replacement cables and allows for straightforward extension of existing USB-C leads. The slim connector housing and flexible cable jacket promote easy installation and tidy cable management.

Suitable for

• Extending a laptop or phone USB-C charge cable to reach a desk or power outlet
• Connecting USB-C peripherals where the existing cable is too short
• Temporary workstation setups and hot-desk environments
• Routing cables behind furniture or through small conduits

Key specifications

• Cable length: 1 meter
• Connector type: USB-C male to USB-C female
• Power pass-through: 5 V, up to 3 A
• Supported functions: power pass-through and standard USB-C data signaling (dependent on host and original cable)
• Jacket: flexible insulated sheath suitable for everyday routing

How to use

Insert the USB-C male end of the extension cable into the original host or charger port, then connect the original USB-C plug or device to the female end of the extension. Ensure both connected devices and the original cable support the intended power and data functions; the extension carries through power at 5V/3A and standard USB-C data signals but does not alter the capabilities of the connected devices. Avoid bending the cable sharply near the connectors and route it to prevent tension on ports.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use the extension with compliant USB-C chargers and cables. If higher power delivery or specific data modes (e.g., alternate mode video or high-current fast charging) are required, verify the original cable and source support those modes before relying on this extension.
