Prolunga USB powered DeLOCK 85982 12V 3m

The DeLOCK Powered USB extension cable 12V 3m extends a PoweredUSB connection while supplying power to the connected device. At 3 meters length, the cable supports both data transmission and power delivery for peripherals that require 12V via PoweredUSB. The cable is magnetically shielded to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain stable data transfer. Its black jacket provides a neutral appearance suitable for retail or workplace environments.

Advantages

The cable combines power and data in a single extension, reducing cable clutter and the need for separate power adapters. Magnetic shielding lowers susceptibility to interference from nearby electronics, helping to preserve signal integrity over the 3 m run. The 12V PoweredUSB specification ensures compatibility with devices designed for powered USB connections.

Suitable for

• Extending PoweredUSB connections to peripherals placed further from the host
• Point-of-sale equipment such as receipt printers and barcode scanners that use PoweredUSB
• Any device requiring 12V power supplied over a PoweredUSB connection

How to use

Connect the extension cable between the host PoweredUSB port and the peripheral's PoweredUSB plug. Ensure connectors are fully seated to provide both data and 12V power. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference where possible. Verify device operation after connection to confirm proper power and data delivery.

Recommendations

Use this cable with devices and hosts that explicitly support PoweredUSB 12V. Do not use the cable if the peripheral requires a different voltage or a non-PoweredUSB power arrangement. Inspect connectors periodically for wear and replace the cable if damage to the jacket or connector is visible.
