Prolunga USB ProXtend USB3AAF-005 — 5 m, USB 3.2 Gen1, femmina A a maschio A

ProXtend USB3AAF-005 is a 5-meter USB extension cable that provides USB 3.2 Gen1 performance with an A female to A male connector. It extends reach for peripherals, external storage, hubs and other USB-A devices without changing the host or device connectors. The cable is designed for desktop setups, home offices and media centers where a longer, reliable USB connection is required.

Advantages

This USB extension cable supports high-speed data transfer consistent with USB 3.2 Gen1 specifications, enabling fast file transfers and responsive peripheral operation. The A female to A male configuration allows easy extension of existing USB-A cables or direct connection to hosts and devices. At 5 meters length it offers added flexibility in device placement while maintaining stable performance for most USB-A peripherals and external drives.

Suitable for

• Extending connections between computers and USB-A peripherals (keyboards, mice, printers)
• Extending reach to external HDD/SSD and flash storage for backups and file transfers
• Connecting hubs and docking stations located away from the host computer
• Home office and media center setups where cable length needs to be increased

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 m
• USB standard: USB 3.2 Gen1 (SuperSpeed up to 5 Gbps)
• Connectors: A female to A male (USB-A)
• Usage: Data transfer and peripheral connectivity

How to use

Connect the A male end of the extension cable to the USB-A port on your computer or host device, then plug the existing USB-A cable or peripheral into the A female connector. Ensure connectors are fully inserted to establish a secure connection. For best results, avoid sharp bends and keep the cable routed away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference.

Recommendations

Use the cable to extend USB-A devices where a longer reach is necessary; for devices that draw significant power from the USB port, consider connecting through a powered USB hub to ensure stable operation. If maximum transfer speed is required, verify that both connected devices and the original cable support USB 3.2 Gen1 to achieve SuperSpeed performance.
