Rilevatore di movimento a infrarossi MACLEAN MCE468B IP65 — rilevatore di presenza a infrarossi, resistente alle intemperie

Infrared motion sensor MACLEAN MCE468B IP65 is an infrared presence detector designed to sense movement and trigger lighting or alarm systems. With an IP65 rating, the device is resistant to dust and low-pressure water jets, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications where weather resistance is required. The sensor supports automatic control in home automation setups, contributes to security systems and helps reduce energy consumption by enabling lighting or devices to operate only when motion is detected.

Advantages

The MACLEAN MCE468B IP65 provides reliable passive infrared detection in a compact, weatherproof housing. Its IP65 protection ensures consistent operation in environments exposed to dust and rain without the need for additional enclosures. The detector is compatible with common lighting and alarm circuits, allowing straightforward integration into existing systems. The unit is designed for low-maintenance operation and supports automatic switching to reduce manual intervention and save energy.

Suitable for

• Automatic outdoor lighting for entrances, pathways and porches
• Indoor corridors, stairwells and utility rooms requiring presence-triggered lighting
• Integration with alarm systems for motion-triggered alerts
• Energy-saving control in residential and light-commercial settings

Key specifications

• Detection type: passive infrared motion detection
• Environmental protection: IP65 (dust tight and protected against water jets)
• Typical applications: lighting control, alarm triggering, presence detection
• Mounting: wall or surface mounting in sheltered and exposed locations
• Operation environment: suitable for indoor and outdoor use where IP65 is required

How to use

Mount the MACLEAN MCE468B IP65 in a location with a clear view of the monitored area and away from direct heat sources or reflective surfaces that can interfere with detection. Connect the sensor to the lighting or alarm circuit following the manufacturer's wiring instructions and local electrical regulations. Adjust installation height and aim to match the coverage pattern required for the specific site. After powering the system, verify detection by walking through the coverage zone and confirm that connected loads respond as intended.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, avoid mounting near air-conditioning outlets, heaters or large glass surfaces where temperature changes may affect infrared detection. Regularly inspect the mounting and seals to ensure the IP65 rating is maintained, and follow local electrical codes when integrating the sensor into existing systems.
