Rilevatore di movimento Steinel 006532 — rilevamento PIR 360°, bianco, IP54

Steinel 006532 is a PIR motion sensor with 360° passive infrared detection in a white housing with IP54 protection. Designed for wall or ceiling mounting, the sensor detects human movement and triggers lighting or security systems in covered outdoor areas and indoor locations where resistance to dust and splashing water is required. The compact design and full-circle detection pattern provide reliable presence sensing for automation and energy-saving control.

Advantages

The 360° detection pattern ensures wide coverage without the need for multiple devices, and the PIR technology offers energy-efficient motion detection with fast response to moving heat sources. The IP54-rated housing provides protection against dust ingress and water splashes, making the sensor suitable for sheltered outdoor installation as well as indoor use in corridors, porches, and utility spaces. Its white finish allows discreet integration with common architectural surfaces.

Suitable for

• Automatic switching of exterior porch, terrace or entrance lighting in covered areas
• Indoor corridor, stairwell or utility room lighting control
• Activation of alarm or security systems where presence detection is required
• Energy-saving lighting automation in residential or light-commercial settings

Key specifications

• Detection method: Passive infrared (PIR) with 360° coverage
• Mounting: Wall or ceiling
• Housing color: White
• Ingress protection: IP54 (protection against dust and splashing water)
• Typical application: Outdoor covered areas and indoor protected spaces

How to use

Mount the sensor on a stable surface at the recommended height for optimal coverage, typically on a wall or ceiling where the 360° field of view is unobstructed. Connect the sensor to the lighting or control circuit following local wiring regulations and the manufacturer's installation instructions. Adjust sensitivity and detection angle if applicable to reduce false triggers from small animals or moving vegetation. Test the unit after installation to confirm correct switching behavior and coverage area.

Recommendations

Place the sensor away from direct sources of heat and avoid mounting where air vents or HVAC flows could cause false triggers. For exposed installations, ensure the device is located under a shelter or canopy to maintain the intended IP54 protection level over time.
