Rilevatore di presenza KNX Schneider Electric ARGUS 220 Merten 632519 – bianco polare

The Schneider Electric KNX presence sensor ARGUS 220 Merten in polar white is a wall-mounted detector designed for integration with KNX building automation systems. It detects occupancy using motion and presence sensing and transmits commands on the KNX bus to control lighting, HVAC setpoints, and predefined scenes. The sensor is suitable for offices, corridors and residential areas where centralized KNX control is used to improve comfort and reduce energy consumption.

Advantages

The ARGUS 220 provides reliable presence detection with KNX signalling for straightforward integration into existing automation projects. Its wall-mounted design and neutral polar white finish allow discreet installation in a variety of interior environments. The device supports configurable outputs for switching and scene control via the KNX bus so you can tailor behaviour to different occupancy patterns and lighting setups.

Suitable for

• Office rooms and open-plan workspaces
• Corridors, stairwells and circulation areas
• Living rooms, hallways and entryways in residential buildings
• Meeting rooms and conference areas with KNX control

Key specifications

• Mounting type: wall-mounted
• Detection method: presence and motion sensing
• Communication: KNX bus interface for signalling and scene commands
• Finish: polar white housing suitable for interior installation
• Typical applications: lighting control, presence-based energy management, scene activation

How to use

Install the presence sensor on a wall in a position that provides a clear field of view for the monitored area, following local electrical regulations and KNX wiring practices. Connect the device to the KNX bus and configure parameters such as detection range, time delay and the object assignments using a KNX commissioning tool. Map the sensor outputs to lighting or scene objects to enable automatic switching or scene activation when occupancy is detected.

Recommendations

For reliable detection, mount the sensor at the height and orientation recommended in the installation manual and avoid pointing it directly at large reflective surfaces. Use the KNX commissioning software to fine-tune sensitivity and time settings according to room size and typical occupancy to optimise energy savings and user comfort.
