Rivetto cieco GESIPA Polygrip 4.8x15 Al/Acciaio con flangia larga, campo di serraggio…

Blind rivet GESIPA Polygrip 4.8x15 Al/St large flange is a one-sided aluminium/stainless steel fastener designed for permanent joining where access is available only from one side. The rivet has a 4.8 mm diameter, 15 mm body length and a large flange head to increase bearing surface and reduce pull-through on softer materials. Its usable grip range covers 4.5–11.0 mm, making it suitable for joining single and multi-layer assemblies in metalworking and light construction. The product is supplied in a pack of 250 rivets intended for industrial, professional workshop and maintenance use.

Advantages

These GESIPA Polygrip blind rivets combine an aluminium body with a stainless steel mandrel to provide corrosion resistance at the joint and controlled mandrel break-off during installation. The large flange distributes load over a wider area, reducing the risk of material deformation and improving joint stability on thin or soft substrates. The defined grip range simplifies selection and speeds up assembly processes, while the packed quantity of 250 supports batch jobs and reduces replenishment frequency.

Suitable for

• Sheet metal fabrication and repair
• Joining panels, profiles and brackets with limited backside access
• Maintenance and installation work in workshops and light industry
• Applications requiring wider bearing surface on softer materials (plastics, thin aluminium sheet)

Key specifications

• Rivet diameter: 4.8 mm
• Body length: 15 mm
• Material: aluminium body with stainless steel mandrel
• Head type: large flange (increased bearing surface)
• Usable grip range: 4.5–11.0 mm
• Pack quantity: 250 rivets

How to use

Prepare mating parts by aligning holes sized for a 4.8 mm rivet diameter. Insert the blind rivet through the assembled parts until the flange contacts the outer surface. Use an appropriate blind rivet tool designed for 4.8 mm rivets; engage the mandrel in the tool and operate according to the tool manufacturer's instructions until the mandrel breaks off and the blind side forms a secure bulge. Verify that the flange sits flush and that the joint is firm. If necessary, check mandrel break-off quality and replace any rivet showing incomplete setting.

Recommendations

For consistent results, select a rivet tool compatible with 4.8 mm aluminium/stainless rivets and inspect tool jaws regularly. Drill hole diameters should match the rivet diameter to avoid loose or overstressed joints. Choose the rivet when a larger bearing surface is needed to prevent pull-through on thin or soft materials. Store the pack in a dry environment to avoid contamination before use.
