This router is suitable for both home and office applications, where a reliable connection and high bandwidth are important.

Wi-Fi 6 high-speed network

With Wi-Fi Standard 6, the Mikrotik Chateau 5G R17 ax provides higher speeds, better connection quality and lower latency, even in an environment with a large number of devices. State-of-the-art OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) technology introduces efficient bandwidth utilization, allowing multiple devices to use the network simultaneously. Wi-Fi 6 also offers higher energy efficiency, which extends the operating time of mobile devices connected to the network.

eSIM - no need for a physical SIM card

The Mikrotik Chateau 5G R17 ax router supports eSIM (Embedded SIM), which means you no longer need to use a traditional SIM card. This functionality enables easier management of network services and saves space on the device. With eSIM , you can quickly change carriers without having to replace the SIM card, greatly simplifying the process of setting up and changing services.

5G modem - high-speed mobile internet

The Mikrotik Chateau 5G R17 ax features an advanced 5G modem that supports NSA and SA 5G bands (Non-Standalone and Standalone - independent and network-independent). This guarantees fast and stable internet, both in cities and rural areas where 5G coverage is available. The 5G modem supports download speeds of up to 2 Gbps, allowing for lightning-fast downloads of large files and top-quality video streaming.

Ethernet ports - wide compatibility

The Mikrotik Chateau 5G R17 ax offers 4 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports and one 2.5G port, which enables high-speed connection to other devices on the network. With these ports, the device can also act as an Access Point (access point) for other devices. The wide connectivity options make the router very versatile, ideal for office environments or for connecting devices such as TVs, desktops or gaming consoles.

How to use

Install the router on a desktop or mount it on a pole, insert a microSIM or activate an eSIM profile via the built-in eSIM manager or the MikroTik Connectivity service. Connect devices over Wi‑Fi or to the Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports. Access RouterOS v7 through the web interface, Winbox or the mobile app to configure internet connection, Wi‑Fi settings, VPN, VLANs and traffic rules. Use the app for guided setup and basic management if you prefer a simplified workflow.

Recommendations

Place the router where it has the best line to the mobile tower for optimal 5G reception; test both eSIM and microSIM options to determine the most reliable operator profile in your area. For larger homes, position the unit centrally or add wired access points to extend Wi‑Fi coverage. Regularly update RouterOS to benefit from stability and security improvements.
