When it may not be suitable

This device is intended for systems that support Windows Hello. How to use

Connect the scanner to an available USB port on your Windows PC using the supplied 1.5 m cable. Windows should detect the device and integrate it with Windows Hello; follow the operating system prompts to register fingerprints through Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options. Once a fingerprint is registered, use the scanner to authenticate and unlock the system. The hub ports can be used to connect other USB peripherals; ensure devices attached to the hub are within the host power and bandwidth limits.

What to consider before purchase

Recommendations

Place the scanner on a stable, flat part of the desk within comfortable reach. Register several fingerprints (e.g., index fingers of both hands) to improve recognition options, and keep the sensor surface clean from oils or debris to maintain reliable reads. For multiple users on one device, maintain individual Windows user accounts and register fingerprints per account via Windows Hello.
