The Sonnet G10E-1X-E3 is an internal PCIe network card that adds 10GBASE-T (10 Gbit/s) Ethernet connectivity to desktop and workstation computers. It provides a single RJ45 port for connection over standard copper cabling and is compatible with Mac, Windows, and Linux systems when installed in a PCIe slot or used inside a Thunderbolt-to-PCIe expansion chassis.

How to use

For best performance at full 10 Gbit/s, use CAT6A cabling up to 100 meters or CAT6 for shorter runs. If your facility uses CAT5e, using a multi-gig switch enables 2.5/5 Gbit/s NBASE-T speeds without rewiring.
