The ASUS ROG STRIX X870E-E GAMING WIFI is an ATX motherboard for AMD Socket AM5 processors, designed for high-performance gaming builds. It supports DDR5 memory up to 192 GB across four DIMM slots, offers M.2 and SATA III storage with RAID 0/1/5/10 support, and includes advanced connectivity such as 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports and Wi‑Fi 7 (802.11be) for fast network performance. Integrated ASUS AI features assist with system tuning, cooling and networking to streamline setup and optimize performance.

Advantages

Built on the AMD X870E chipset and compatible with Socket AM5 CPUs, this motherboard provides robust overclocking and performance options. ASUS AI Overclocking and Dynamic OC Switcher help balance manual overclocking and automatic boost behavior for mixed workloads. AI Cooling II manages thermal and acoustic balance with minimal user input, while AI Networking II prioritizes and optimizes network traffic and enables the full potential of Wi‑Fi 7 connectivity.

Suitable for

  • High-performance gaming PCs and esports rigs
  • Content creation workstations requiring fast storage and memory
  • Enthusiast builds with overclocking and advanced cooling
  • Home or office systems needing high-speed wired and wireless networking

Key specifications

  • Form factor: ATX
  • Chipset: AMD X870E
  • Socket: AM5
  • Memory: DDR5, 4 slots, up to 192 GB
  • Storage interfaces: M.2 and SATA III, RAID 0/1/5/10
  • Networking: 5 x Gigabit Ethernet, Wi‑Fi 7 (802.11be)
  • Weight: 2.06 kg

How to use

Install the motherboard into an ATX-compatible case and mount an AMD Socket AM5 processor following the CPU and cooler manufacturer instructions. Populate DDR5 memory modules into the DIMM slots, connect M.2 or SATA storage devices, and attach power supply cables to the board. Use the UEFI/BIOS to configure boot order, enable RAID if required, and apply ASUS AI Overclocking or manual overclock settings. Configure network settings and Wi‑Fi through the OS or ASUS network utilities.

Recommendations

For stable overclocking, ensure adequate cooling and a quality power supply; use the Dynamic OC Switcher and Overclocking Load Guard to reduce instability during high loads. Keep BIOS and ASUS utilities up to date to benefit from the latest AI tuning and networking improvements.
