Seagate SkyHawk 2TB disco fisso interno per videosorveglianza - SATA 6Gb/s 3,5 inch (5900 RPM, 64MB cache, CMR)

Surveillance systems demand storage that can handle relentless write operations without dropping frames or failing prematurely. The Seagate SkyHawk 2TB is built specifically for DVR and NVR environments, where standard desktop drives often struggle with heat, vibration, and 24/7 workloads. With a workload rating of 180 TB per year and support for up to 64 HD cameras, this drive keeps your security footage intact and accessible when you need it most.

Who is it for

System integrators, small business owners, and home security enthusiasts running multi-camera surveillance setups. If your recorder needs a reliable, always-on storage solution that won't choke on simultaneous video streams, this drive fits the bill. It's also ideal for upgrading existing NVR/DVR units that came with smaller or less durable drives.

Main features

• 2TB capacity stores weeks of high-definition video from multiple cameras
• Optimized for DVR/NVR with ImagePerfect firmware to minimize frame drops
• 5900 RPM spindle speed balances performance and low power consumption
• 64MB cache smooths out burst writes from multiple camera streams
• Supports up to 8 drive bays and 64 HD cameras for scalable systems

Tips

Pair this drive with a surveillance-grade NVR that supports SATA III for maximum throughput. Ensure adequate airflow in your recorder chassis, as 3.5" drives generate heat during continuous operation. For larger installations, consider using multiple SkyHawk drives in a RAID configuration to increase capacity and redundancy. Always check your DVR/NVR's compatibility list before purchasing to confirm drive height and interface support.
