Seagate SkyHawk 8TB disco rigido per videosorveglianza, 3,5 inch, SATA 6Gb/s, 7200RPM, 256MB cache

The Seagate SkyHawk 8TB is engineered for surveillance systems that demand non-stop recording. Unlike desktop drives, it handles the sustained write workloads of up to 64 HD cameras and 8 drive bays, with a workload rate limit of 180 TB/year and an MTBF of 1 million hours. ImagePerfect firmware minimizes dropped frames, while rotational vibration sensors keep performance stable in multi-drive enclosures.

Highlights

• 8 TB capacity for extended video retention
• SATA 6Gb/s interface, 3.5-inch form factor, 7200 RPM spindle speed
• 256 MB cache for smooth data streaming
• Built for DVR/NVR systems: supports up to 64 cameras and 8 bays
• CMR recording technology for consistent write performance
• Low power consumption: 8.0 W operating

In daily use

SkyHawk drives run quietly at 2.5 bels idle and operate within 0°C to 70°C, making them suitable for security installations in varying environments. The drive's workload rating of 180 TB/year ensures it can handle the constant write cycles of modern surveillance systems without premature wear.
