Sennheiser XSW 2-835-A Vocal Set is a wireless microphone system designed for focused vocal performance and clear speech reproduction. The set pairs a dynamic handheld microphone with a cardioid pickup pattern and a single-channel UHF receiver that features a clear display for monitoring signal status. Its transmission range reaches up to 100 m in open environments, providing reliable wireless operation for stage performances, rehearsals, presentations and small studio setups.

Advantages

The dynamic cardioid capsule rejects off-axis noise and feedback, allowing vocals to remain prominent in live and amplified situations. The UHF receiver provides stable radio transmission and visual feedback via a readable display, simplifying channel monitoring. How to use

Install the receiver near the mixing console or amplifier and connect it using the appropriate audio output cable. Power on the receiver and the handheld transmitter, verify that both units are tuned to the same UHF frequency and check the receiver display for signal strength and battery status. Hold the microphone 5–15 cm from the mouth for consistent level and reduce handling noise by gripping the microphone body rather than the grille. Adjust gain on the mixing console or amplifier to avoid clipping while maintaining clear vocal presence.

Recommendations

For best performance, position the receiver with unobstructed line of sight to the performer and avoid placing it directly behind large metal structures or near strong RF sources. Use the cardioid pattern to reduce stage noise by orienting the null toward monitors or loudspeakers. Keep spare transmitter batteries and verify wireless frequency availability in the venue before use to prevent interference.
