Set punte AWTools M2 HSS-TiN 19 pezzi 1,5–10 mm per metallo

AWTools drill bit set M2 HSS-TiN 19 pcs 1.5–10 mm for metal contains a selection of high-speed steel bits coated with titanium nitride to extend tool life and improve wear resistance. The set covers diameters from 1.5 mm to 10 mm, providing a continuous range of commonly used sizes for metalworking tasks. These twist drills are suitable for use in hand drills and drill presses when working with steel, iron, non-ferrous metals and other metallic materials.

Advantages

The M2 HSS construction offers heat resistance and toughness for cutting into metals, while the TiN coating reduces friction and slow down wear, maintaining cutting edge sharpness longer than uncoated bits. The variety of diameters included in the 19-piece set simplifies selection for a broad range of hole sizes. The standard twist geometry provides reliable chip evacuation and consistent drilling performance in typical workshop and maintenance applications.

How to use

Select the required drill diameter from the set and secure the bit in the drill chuck, ensuring correct alignment and firm clamping. For best results when drilling metal, mark the hole position, use a center punch to prevent walking, and start at low speed to establish the hole. Apply steady pressure and moderate spindle speed appropriate for the diameter and material; increase coolant or cutting fluid use under higher loads to reduce heat and prolong bit life. Clear chips frequently and back off periodically on deeper holes to avoid chip clogging.

Recommendations

Use cutting fluid when drilling harder steels or when drilling larger diameters; reduce speed for larger holes and increase feed gradually. Store bits in their case to protect the TiN coating and keep shanks clean before inserting into the drill chuck. Replace worn or excessively rounded bits to maintain hole quality and reduce the risk of damage to workpieces.
