Adattatore in fibra ottica S/CONN SC 07-60054 beige multimodale

The S/CONN fibre optic adapter SC 07-60054 Beige Multi-mode from ShiverPeaks is a single-pack adapter designed to connect and align SC multi-mode fibre connectors. It provides a compact, standard SC coupling solution in beige housing for use in patch panels, wall plates or inline fibre runs. The adapter is intended to maintain stable optical alignment between two SC multi-mode connectors, supporting typical multimode networking installations.

Advantages

This SC multi-mode adapter offers precise ferrule alignment and a low-profile beige housing that blends with common telecommunications equipment. Its single-unit design simplifies replacement and installation in confined spaces. The adapter is compatible with standard SC multi-mode connectors, delivering consistent connection performance and reduced insertion loss when used within recommended multimode link parameters.

Suitable for

• Patch panels and distribution frames in multimode networks
• Wall outlets and faceplates for structured cabling
• Point-to-point multimode fibre links in data centres and server rooms
• Field repairs and quick connector replacements

Key specifications

• Connector type: SC to SC coupling for multi-mode fibre
• Mode: Multi-mode (MM)
• Housing color: Beige
• Quantity: Single unit pack
• Form factor: Standard SC adapter footprint suitable for panels and plates

How to use

Insert the SC multi-mode connector from one fibre cable into one side of the adapter and insert the mating SC connector from the other cable into the opposite side until each connector latches. Ensure connectors and adapter ferrules are clean and free of dust before mating to minimise insertion loss. Mount the adapter in the desired panel, plate or bulkhead location using the standard SC cutout or secure it inline where applicable.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, clean connector endfaces with an appropriate fibre cleaning tool before each connection and avoid excessive bending or stress on the fibre near the adapter. Use within specified multimode fibre link budgets and maintain proper cable management to reduce signal loss and mechanical strain.
