SHIVERPEAKS BS30-38085 Cavo ottico attivo USB-A a USB-C, 15 m, USB 3.2 Gen 1, 5 Gbps, nero

This active optical cable from SHIVERPEAKS bridges the gap between USB-A and USB-C devices over an impressive 15-meter distance without sacrificing speed or signal integrity. It delivers full USB 3.2 Gen 1 performance at 5 Gbps, making it ideal for connecting cameras, external storage, or other peripherals far from your computer.

Advantages

The optical fiber core ensures that data travels as light, completely immune to electromagnetic interference. Unlike traditional copper cables that suffer signal degradation over long runs, this cable maintains a rock-solid 5 Gbps connection throughout its entire length. The hybrid design combines optical fibers for data with copper wires for power, ensuring compatibility with standard USB-A ports while providing up to 4.5 W for connected devices. Plug-and-play operation means no drivers or software are needed—just connect and go.

Suitable for

• Professional AV setups requiring long USB runs to cameras or capture devices
• Industrial environments where EMI/RFI could disrupt copper-based USB connections
• Connecting USB-C peripherals to legacy USB-A computers across a room
• Digital signage and kiosk applications needing reliable long-distance data transfer
• Home office setups where the PC is placed away from the desk

Recommendations

For maximum reliability, avoid sharp bends that could damage the optical fibers. Ensure both connected devices support USB 3.2 Gen 1 or lower to achieve the rated speed. This cable is not designed for high-power charging; use a dedicated charging cable if your device requires more than 4.5 W.
