SMART HOME SCHLOSS U200/WEISS EL-D02D-W AQARA

Replacing your deadbolt with a smart lock often means compromising on security, compatibility, or installation ease. The Aqara Smart Lock U200 eliminates those trade-offs by combining a robust zinc-alloy build with Matter over Thread connectivity, Apple Home Key support, and a DIY-friendly retrofit design that fits most standard doors.

Who is it for

This lock is ideal for homeowners and renters who want keyless entry without replacing their entire door hardware. It suits Apple users who rely on HomeKit and Home Key, as well as those building a Matter-enabled smart home with Google Home, Amazon Alexa, or Aqara Home. It is also a practical upgrade for Airbnb hosts needing temporary PINs or families wanting fingerprint access for up to 50 users.

Main features

• Multiple unlocking methods: fingerprint, PIN code, NFC (Apple Home Key), Aqara app, physical key, or voice assistant.
• Matter over Thread and Bluetooth 5.0 ensure reliable local control and broad ecosystem compatibility.
• Fingerprint reader with capacity for up to 50 fingerprints; anti-peep PINs, temporary PINs, and one-time PINs for guests.
• Apple Home Key support lets you unlock with a tap of your iPhone or Apple Watch, even when the phone battery is low.
• Auto-lock, door ajar alerts, and tamper alarm enhance security; AES-128 encryption protects data.
• Powered by 4 AA batteries with up to 8 months of life; USB-C emergency power port prevents lockouts.
• Fits doors 35–100 mm thick; replaces standard deadbolts without complex wiring.

Tips

For remote access and automations, pair the lock with an Aqara hub or any Matter controller. Install the Aqara app first to update firmware and calibrate the lock for your door. Keep a physical key as a backup and share temporary PINs with guests instead of permanent codes. Use the USB-C port with a power bank if batteries die unexpectedly.
